Although I have taken numerous classes on wide array of mediums, I find that I am still entitled to the amateur title. Austin Kleon said in his book, Show Your Work, that “the world is changing at such a rapid rate that it’s turning us all into amateurs.” I agree with him because unlike cold hard facts, art is more of an art. I am always learning new ways to create things. I am never finished with a piece. I am never satisfied with my work. I am never striving to be perfect either, because as time and experience has told me, perfect does not make things beautiful. I have learned overtime that when I show my work people refer to it as art from fine art to graphic design, but I consider myself no artist. An artist that calls themselves an artist has made it big.
