My impression of the critique presented in this video is very accurate. Microsoft's way of packaging and Apple's is polar opposites. Microsoft acknowledges that their design style is very different from Apple and they poke fun at themselves. It is always good to learn from your mistakes, and this video has opened their eyes to the fact that less is more. I think that information overload can compromise the goal of communicating clearly and effectively by stressing the consumer.

I applied the 5 principles of readability to the "Statement of the Problem" and "Overview of the Context" paragraphs.

Statement of the Problem Before:
Clemson Athletics wants sold out events— whether it be a game, meet, or match. The issue is, events do not always sell out. The Marketing Department turned to social media recently to help achieve their goal of increasing attendance at games after not having the results they wanted.

Technical Case Study Step 2

Throughout the process of researching our technical case study on the Clemson Athletic Department and their use of social media, we discovered that not only does the Clemson Athletic Marketing Department push out social media content about ticket sales, but also creates graphics and posts videos to get people excited about coming to events by creating certain promotions, and posting about them. In looking through the Clemson Sports Marketing twitter, we realized that there are planned promotional items to reach different groups of fans.
