Reading Response 6

I think the critique in the video expressed that Microsoft puts an unnecessary amount of information on their packaging to make the user know as much about it as possible, even things they don't need to know. Apple keeps their packaging simple so that the customer can appreciate just what it is, an Ipod. I think the design principle that this case study emphasizes is simplicity, the addition of no more than exactly what you need. That is why this critique is humerus as well as informative.

The Paramedic Method has improved both of these documents by streamlining the information within them creating a more precise document that is easier to read and follow along. It helped me clear up some run on sentences by adding only pertinent information and knowing when to separate into multiple sentences while helping me be more direct with what I am saying.

Glenn Barnes Linkedin Profile

This is the link to my profile. I have updated it pretty well over the past semester adding internships and skills that I have acquired. There are other job experiences I could add such as lifeguard and swim team coach but I'm not sure how relevant they are. Any thoughts on adding those or not would be very helpful. I think everything else on there should be up to date but any feedback about descriptions or anything would be greatly appreciated!

Acrobat Research

I have looked up many different websites regarding the use of Acrobat and I learned a ton of things I didn't already know. I have been using pdfs all through my professional career and I thought there wasn't too much more to them. I've always known how to navigate a pdf as well as sign my name or add information. I didn't know that you can make them interactive, though. You are able to add things such as clips of sound, video, or even 3D models! There are such things as 3D pdfs which changes everything in regards to showing other people work that I have modeled in a 3D software.
