1.) When looking at my resume I decided to add references to the resume. I offered their emails which future employers could easily contact them at. I also decided to make my information appear to be in a column format to help break up the pages and keep it looking organized. I also decided to change the document from a bland all white document by adding a block of color to outline some of the important qualities.

For the resume's content I already had my contact information at the top, and I added an "objective" that was tailored to the earlier job ads I posted. Per suggestion of the checklist I added my expected graduation date as well as coursework relevant to the job ads that were posted.

1) My contact information is easy to find having put it on the top underneath my name. I put my name in larger, bold print in quadrant 1 and my contact information in quadrant 2.

1)The first thing I changed on my resume was putting the information that I could in columns. This made my resume more balanced from the left to the right and I thought this helped a lot with the aesthetics of my resume. I also changed the font of the descriptions to serif and the headings are sans serif. I added at the bottom a note letting the employer know that references are available. Most of the changes I made were to the aesthetics of the resume because the content I have is applicable to the jobs I am applying for.

I made revisions to my resume after reading over the assigned readings, and looking into all of the checklists. My contact information stayed the same, I already had it at the top of the page. I did adjust my objective to fit the two job postings I picked for this project, being graphic design and marketing. I did add my expected graduation date to the resume, as I had not had it on there before. I had already listed all of my previous job experience, so I was able to tailor the description to best fit the job I was applying for.

After reading through the selected reading for Day 5 of this class, which was about creating and modifying resumes to best represent your talents and achievements, I felt that my existing resume was proficient in all of the content categories except for work experience and references. Due to the fact that I am currently working at my first real engineering internship this summer, I had to update my resume to reflect the change in my work experience section. Therefore, I added a bullet to show my present internship with Electrolux in Anderson.

1) Checklist:
The first thing I edited to on my resume to match the project checklist was my objective. I reworded the objective to make it sound more professional as well as to better fit the needs of what I was looking for in a summer position. The contact information, education, work experience, and references sections all seemed to line up correctly with the checklist.

1) Describe how you revised your resume's content as you completed the content checklist.
As I moved through the content checklist, I realized that I had hit most of the major points that I needed to address already (thanks to several resume workshops). One thing, however, that I did notice immediately that I needed to change, rather, update was my work experience. The last time that I showed my resume to anyone was when I was applying for my internship with Infinity Marketing thus I added that information.

Looking through the "content checklist" I already had most of the things on there except for the references. I have a few extra headings in mine such as "Extracurricular Activities" and "Achievements" and "Service Activities". These take up more space on the resume where I could add references but I believe they are more important because if the employer wants references, I have noticed that they always ask and I am more than willing to provide them with a separate sheet.

While revising my resume according to the content checklist in "Writing: A Manual for the Digital Age 2e" I only had to make a few changes. The first thing i had to do was add an objective see as how I had none on my resume. The education and work experience parts of my resume needed no changes seeing as they already contained all the requirements needed to be a suitable resume. I did have to a references section to my resume as well since I did not previously have one.
