Manipulate Text in InDesign

Want to personalize your chosen typeface for a project within InDesign? InDesign allows you to outline selected text and manipulate it to your choosing. Simply highlight the text you want to outline and click on Type -> Create Outlines. The text will then be converted to a set of paths that can be manipulated.

The Direct Selection (A) tool will show path points on the text you can use to click and drag the text to the design you want. The Pathfinder tool provides additional options such as, add, subtract, intersect, exclude overlap, and minus-back in a path. To access the Pathfinder menu go to Window -> Object & Layout -> Pathfinder.
